Prodotti Artigiani, importer of traditional and unique artisan Italian goods, is proud to announce its exclusive agreements with three Italian manufacturers do distribute aged and fresh cheeses, fresh and dried pastas, as well as bakery items, in the United States. The Italian companies are based in southern Italy.

Prodotti Artigiani is excited to be working with Totem Food, PastaJesce and Fratelli Laurieri in importing their excellent products,” stated Antonio LoRusso, title of Prodotti Artigianiand former pasta supplier to Dolce Enoteca. “The US needs great Italian goods at great prices and Prodotti Artigianiis able to supply it with the exclusive agreements signed.”

Prodotti Artigiani’s concept is very simple; provide the finest Italian products from the producer directly to the user at an affordable price. Additional products in the portfolio consist of San Marzano style and DOP tomatoes, olive oil, as well as Italian meats such as prosciutto. One of the “stars” of the portfolio is the frozen buffalo mozzarella. Fresh buffalo mozzarella is produced at the factory in southern Italy, and then quick frozen fresh with the taste and quality sealed in.

“The frozen buffalo mozzarella is excellent,” noted LoRusso. “Totem Food commissioned university research to develop the technology to freeze the buffalo mozzarella perfectly, so that when it thaws correctly the taste will be the same as eating it fresh made that day. This makes the product very convenient for anyone whenever they want to enjoy the rich unique flavor creamy flavor that only buffalo mozzarella from Battipalgia ( the origin of buffalo mozzarella) will have. Until now buffalo mozzarella has only a life span of one week, by the time it comes over by plane it is already expired and soured. The other news is that it is very affordable so you could say this is not a luxury item anymore but a part of any meal whenever they want.
Buonissimo!
